Today was a special day in our home—the Detroit Lions secured a thrilling victory and brought themselves even closer to the Super Bowl! The energy was electric as they played their hearts out, and Ida, my Great Pyrenees, was right there with me, soaking up all the excitement.
Ida has become quite the football fan, and her enthusiasm was on full display during today’s game. Every time the Lions scored, I couldn’t help but cheer, and Ida would leap to her feet, wagging her fluffy tail and looking at me as if to say, “Did we do it again?!” Her joy was infectious, making the victory even sweeter.
As we cheered on the Lions, we snacked on some delicious cookies that I decorated yesterday at a themed cookie decoration event. There’s something about biting into a football-shaped cookie while watching a game that makes the experience extra special. Ida got her share of dog-friendly treats, of course, so she didn’t feel left out. Watching her munch on her goodies while sitting next to me was a highlight of the day.
The Lions’ performance was nothing short of amazing. The game was intense and kept us on the edge of our seats until the final seconds. With home games ahead, the excitement in the city is palpable. It’s incredible to think they’re so close to the Super Bowl!
